A major landslide in Kerala’s Wayanad district resulted in more than 300 fatalities and over hundreds of people injured. As the rescuers uncover debris, these numbers have been increasing. Many people are still unaccounted for, and rescue personnel are trying their best to recover them.
While multiple celebrities have come forward to financially help the victims of this natural disaster, they all stay in the support of the victims.
Rashmika Mandana donates Rs. 10 lakh for relief, while actress Nayanthara, along with her husband Vignesh Shivan, announced to donate 20 lakh as a gesture of solidarity.
Nayanthara, who released a press note, stated – “The devastation and loss experienced by the community are gut-wrenching. In times of great need, we are reminded of the importance of coming together to support one another”.
Telugu’s renowned production house Sithara Entertainments also announced to donate Rs. 5 Lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund, so as to demonstrate their support to the landslide victims, on behalf of Dulquer Salman’s upcoming movie ‘Lucky Baskhar’s team.
As support pour in, the scenes from the devastation are so soul-stirring, as the humanity watch the utter natural destruction.
