Superstar Mahesh Babu’s classic hit Murari, helmed by renowned Krishna Vamsi, will be re-released on August 9. On that day, Mahesh Babu’s ardent followers across the globe will commemorate his birthday, and the re-release of the iconic film only enhances their joy.
Murari, one of the most popular Telugu movies, directed by the well-known Krishna Vamsi masterfully depicts the love and bonding between joint rural families as well as customs and traditions.
In light of Murari’s opulent re-release, actress Sonali Bendre, who portrayed Mahesh Babu’s romantic interest Vasundhara/Vasu, has spoken out.
Sonali Bendre stated, “It makes me so happy that Murari is having a re-release. I am so thankful to Krishna Vamsi, our director for this movie.”
“I recall having a great time on the Murari sets. One of the assistant directors, Nandini Reddy, took me through all the Telugu families’ traditions and rituals. I also enjoyed working with her on the sets,” Sonali said of “Baby” director Nandini Reddy.
Sonali also remembers how difficult it was to comprehend Telugu customs while still having a great time during her shoot.
On being asked about her favorite song from Murari, Sonali said that she loves all the songs from the movie. “I love all the songs from Murari. But, ‘Cheppamma Cheppamma’ features me so beautifully. I love the way my flowing chiffon saree changes colors and the context of the song itself is such a romantic one”, Sonali explained.
“But, my absolute favorite song is the first song- ‘Ekkada Ekkada Undo Taraka’, which introduces the main leads. I love the song the most”, Sonali Bendre stated.
