Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on his next project with Siva Koratala titled Acharya. The film is one of the most anticipated for movie buffs as the title and motion poster became an instant hit. After an 8 months long Coronavirus hiatus, the Acharya team was all set to flag off the post COVID work from November 9th with lead actor Chiranjeevi and other actors.
However, it is unlikely now as Chiranjeevi tested positive for novel Coronavirus and has been home quarantined. So, in the meantime, the team of Acharya has planned to wrap up shooting of other portions, which do not require lead actor Chiranjeevi. The team of Acharya are expected to film scenes with other actors, who will be seen in crucial roles.
Kajal Aggarwal, who is playing the leading lady in Acharya, will reportedly join the proceedings once she gets back to India after her honeymoon with husband Gautam Kitchlu in the Maldives. The film is directed by Koratala Siva and is bankrolled jointly by Ram Charan’s Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment. While Mani Sharma has been roped in to compose the music, Regina Cassandra will sizzle the dance with Chiranjeevi on a special number.

The shooting of Acharya came to a halt in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, which was also forced to postpone the release. Acharya was supposed to release on August 14, 2020, but has been pushed for Sankranthi. Now, the makers have announced to release the film for Sankranthi 2021.
