There were some major star movies released in January for Sankranthi, and they were blockbusters at the box office. This success was carried by some movies which were released this month. Some movies that entertained audiences in February were Michael, Writer Padmabhushan, Amigos, Sir, Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha and Konaseema Thugs. These might not have had a star cast, but they performed pretty decently at the box office.
Michael is the first Neo-Noir movie for Sundeep Kishan. The performance of Sundeep Kishan was well received. Besides him, there is a good star cast in this film, including Vijay Sethupathi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Gautham Menon and others.
Writer Padmabhushan is the second film for Suhas as lead actor and also his first theatrical release. This can be said to be one of the biggest hits at the box office in February. This film is a must-watch for family audiences.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s movie Amigos is an experimental film for him and the director. He has given one of the best performances of his career and also has some good action sequences.
Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha is Kiran Abbavaram’s biggest film in terms of budget and box office. This has done a good job on providing entertainment to the audiences with an attempt of multi-genre experience.
Sir is a bilingual movie released in both Telugu and Tamil. Dhanush acted as Bala Gangadhar Tilak, a junior math lecturer, in this movie. This had a huge impact on audiences, particularly the youth with a good message on the modern education system.
Konaseema Thugs is a remake of the original Tamil movie, Thugs. This had a raw and realistic approach to the story. This movie did not have any stars but had good word of mouth.
This has been the movie journey in February. Audiences are waiting for entertaining movies in March too. Movies lined up for March release are InCar, Kabzaa, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi, Balagam and others.
