Being the son of a well known choreographer Mugur Sundar, Prabhu Deva excelled in different dance forms from childhood. He started his first venture as a choreographer for Kamal Haasan’s Vetri Vizha (1989) and choreographed for over 100 films in the span of 31 years in his film career.
For his outstanding contribution to the cine industry, Prabhu Deva was branded as the Indian Michael Jackson.
