“If he writes words with love, they feel like wet roses. If he writes them with rage, they go off like grenades,” says a character about Sanjay, the Telugu writer from the world of 8 Vasantalu. The setting is a rain-drenched Ooty, and, poetically so, the film invites the audience to get drenched in the rain of love this Monsoon.

Ananthika Sanilkumar‘s character falls in love with the empathetic writer because she prefers Karuna Rasam to Roudra Rasam. “Love isn’t a destination to reach. It’s a journey we must keep on doing,” the writer says, hinting at a narration-based love story.
Directed by Phanindra Narsetti, 8 Vasantalu co-stars Ravi Duggirala, Hanu Reddy, and Kanna Pasunoori. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, the film has production design by Aravind Mule, and editing by Shashank Mali. Vishwanath Reddy’s cinematography is expected to be a major asset. Hesham Abdul Wahab is composing the music. Action choreography is by Wing Chun Anji.
The film hits the screens on June 20th. The songs in the movie are expected to follow the essence of “new beginnings and new feelings”.
