Jailer is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Kalanithi Stalin produced the film under the banner of Sun Pictures. Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon, Tamannaah, Vasanth Ravi, Naga Babu, and others played roles in the film. Anirudh is the music director. Vijay Kartik Kannan is the cinematographer, and R. Nirmal is the editor.
