Along with the news of music composer Raj from Raj-Koti’s demise, Tollywood has yet another bad news today. Sarath Babu Garu, one of the senior actors of Tollywood is no more in this world. He breathed his last today on May 22nd at the age of 72 due to organ damage. He was suffering from a health issue and was admitted to AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad on April 20th. His entire family and the Tollywood industry are shocked by this news as he was recovering from the illness a few days ago. Celebrities and others from Tollywood are sending their condolences to his family.
Sarath Babu Garu born Sathyam Babu Dixithulu, is a well-known Telugu film actor who has worked as a lead actor and supporting cast. He was born on 31 July 1951 in Amadalavalasa, Andhra Pradesh. He has also done films in other South Indian languages including Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. He started his film career with Rama Rajyam in 1973 and has also done multiple Television series in Doordarshan and other local channels.

Sarath Babu Garu impressed the audiences with his roles as lead actor, character artist, father, and villain. He made a unique place for himself through all these roles. Sarath Babu Garu’s recent releases are Vakeel Saab (Telugu) and Vasantha Mullai (Tamil). The actor was honored with three Nandi awards for the best-supporting roles he played in Seethakoka Chilaka, O Bharya Katha, and Neerajanam. Also, he won Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Character Artiste (Male) for the film Malayan in 2017. Sarath Babu Garu’s last film is Malli Pelli which is yet to be released in theaters.
