Shaakuntalam Movie Synopsis:

Shaakuntalam is a mythological romantic drama film directed by Gunasekhar. This is a film he made with the intention of narrating a powerful love story including trust, honor, self-respect, and the struggle for love. Shaakuntalam is an adaptation of the Indian play Abhijnanashakuntalam, originally written by Kalidasa. This film features Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the title role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as King Dushyanta. The film is set in a fairytale land of mythical creatures. Shaakuntalam‘s film promotional material gave glimpses of the characters and the story, which look extravagant and magical. This whimsical fairytale was originally planned to be released last year but was later postponed as the makers wanted audiences to experience it in 3D too.

Sai Madhav Burra penned the dialogues for Shaakuntalam. This film was produced by Neelima Guna under the banner of Gunaa Teamworks. Mani Sharma composed the music for this film. Also, it is presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. Allu Arha is playing the role of Bharata in this film. Sekhar V Joseph is the cinematographer for Shaakuntalam, while Prawin Pudi is the editor. Shaakuntalam is going to hit theatres tomorrow.

She is memorizing everyone by the grace she had as Shakuntala. Shakuntala is in a different role from her previous film, Yashoda, and her transformation is unbelievable.

Dev Mohan is a Malayalam film actor making his debut in the Telugu film industry with Shaakuntalam. He has a royal appearance, which is apt for the King Dushyanta role he is playing. Also, the way he portrayed contrary emotions like a brave king and a passionate lover is just extraordinary.

Every other supporting actor and actress who features in this film has exceptional roles and performances. This also marks the debut of Allu Arha, daughter of actor Allu Arjun.
