RRR Movie Records:
RRR, the masterpiece of Indian cinema made by SS Rajamouli with Jr NTR and Ram Charan as the lead actors, has created many records across the states in India and abroad. The film has collected more than 1200 crores at the box office worldwide. The film stood as the fourth highest grossing film in India. RRR even created many records on Netflix, standing as the most viewed film for more than 10 weeks in many foreign countries. After setting records in theatres and digital platforms, RRR moved into the arena of winning awards and hearts at many film festivals. RRR has already been selected for special screenings at the Goa International Film Festival, Beyond Fest International Film Festival, and the Toronto International Film Festival. After the completion of the special screenings, it’s time for RRR to grab some awards globally.
RRR Wins This Award:
RRR wins “The Best International Film” award at the “Saturn Awards“. The Saturn Awards are presented by the Academy of Science Fiction and Fantasy. This academy presents awards to the best movies and TV series in the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. RRR was nominated this year for the category of best international film for being the best in the fiction and fantasy genres internationally. Today, the academy announced RRR as the winner of “The Best International Film” Saturn Award for 2022. Downton Abbey: A New Era, Eiffel, I’m Your Man, Riders Of Justice, and Silent Night are the other international films in nominations for this category. RRR surpassed them all and won the award. RRR was also nominated for other categories, including best action or adventure film and best film director (SS Rajamouli).
SS Rajamouli’s Words On Winning The Saturn Award:
“I am so glad that RRR has won the Saturn Award in the category of best international film. Thank you to the jury from our team. I am so happy to be winning this award for the second time. The first award was for Baahubali: The Conclusion in the same category. Unfortunately, I could not take part in this year’s awards ceremony because of the promotions for RRR in Japan. I congratulate all the other winners this year and hope you have a great time at the ceremony”.
