Under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies, Aswani Dutt produced the film. Sridevi co-starred with Chiranjeevi in the role of Indraja. Sridevi charged 25 lakhs for the film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. The pay was nearly equal to that of the lead actor, Chiranjeevi, who charged 35 lakhs for the film. Sridevi paid close attention to the character’s appearance and costumes. Sridevi designed her own costumes with the assistance of Neeta Lulla, a well-known Mumbai costume designer. Sridevi gave the producers 85 days to finish filming her part. She used to travel to different locations during the production of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari so that she wouldn’t miss any other projects, which would have affected the producers of the respective films. Sridevi stated on several occasions that she put a lot of effort into the character of Indraja, making it one of the best of her acting career. Sridevi is simply irreplaceable as Indraja, and it is difficult to imagine another actress in that role.
