Today (January 18), is the twenty sixth death anniversary of legendary actor of the Telugu Film Industry, former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. On this occasion, his grandson, one of the top stars of present Tollywood, Jr NTR took to Twitter to pen down a heartfelt note in Telugu. On the other hand, Nandamuri Kalyanram, the elder brother of Jr NTR also fondly remembered his grandfather.
Jr NTR addressed his grandfather with a tribute quoting him as a Polar Star that resides in the hearts of the Telugu people for then, now and forever.

Referred to as Viswa Vikhyatha Nata Sarwa Bhouma, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is a great asset to not only Tollywood but to Indian Cinema. Throughout his long lasting acting career, the legendary actor worked in over 300 films, produced and directed his own films too. Sr NTR has won many awards including, three National Film Awards, two Rashtrapati Awards, one Nandi Award and one Filmfare Award. He was also the recipient of the Padma Shri Award.
He founded the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982 and served three tumultuous terms as Chief Minister of then united Andhra Pradesh between 1983 and 1995. He breathed his last on January 18, 1996, following a heart attack.
Jr NTR, the talented actor is waiting for the release of his upcoming period action drama RRR: Roudram Ranam Rudhiram. The film was slated to be released on January 7, 2022, but it was delayed due to the pandemic. RRR is directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by DVV Entertainments, also stars Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
