With the Pandemic in 2020, it has been a tough year for all the movie lovers to stay away from the theatres. But 2021 managed to produce some good films to the audience despite the strike of the second wave in between. However, let us look back at the quality of Telugu Cinema which provided us some good entertainment from the beginning of this year to the end.
Starting with January, there are very few films that got released bouncing back from the pandemic effect. The films include Krack, Mail, Red, Allu Adhurs, Cycle, Super Over, Bangaru Bullodu, 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela, Amma Deevena, Annapurnamma Gari Manavadu, Cheppina Evaru Nammaru, Jai Sena, Mr & Miss and Kalaposhakalu.

Krack
It was Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja who brought the audience back to the theatre with his film Krack. The film was directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Madhu under the banner of Saraswathi Films Division. The film did well at the box office collecting 70 crores. Ravi Teja having his character in his zone of acting lived upto the role so perfectlyAlso the scenes between Ravi Teja and Samuthirakani look so intense. The visuals from GK Vishnu and background score from SS Thaman are an added advantage to the film. The action sequences are well picturised but the number of fight scenes can be deduced. Despite the predictable storyline, the director managed to have an interesting screenplay. On a final note, Krack has the mass flavours from Ravi Teja in a regular masala movie served to the audience at the right time.
30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela
With the range of the response for the song Neeli Neeli Aakasam and the anchor Pradeep Machiraju making his debut as a hero into Telugu cinema, the film 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela kept the audience much awaited throughout the pandemic. Set in Pre-Independence, a failed love couple are born again to meet each other. With the small screen experience Pradeep had, he managed to maintain the same on the big screen despite being an amateur. The visuals in the first ten minutes look good. The music from Anup Rubens adds some weight to the film. The film managed to get 16 crores at the box office for all the craze Pradeep had. On an endnote, the film is one time watchable.
Being released on Aha as a mini series, Mail takes us back into the 2000s, the early days of people writing mails in India. The film was directed by Uday Gurrala and was produced by Priyanka Dutt under the banner of Swapna Cinema. The film showcased the small town people and their innocence. The performances from the debutants in the film are quite natural and impressive. Harshith Reddy delivers his best for the role. Priyadarshi just makes us laugh and fall in love with him just with his facial expressions. Every character in the film projects out their honesty on the screen. The film can be effectively cut avoiding the slow pace. On an overview, the sincerity in the story can be seen in the film and it is worth watching.
Super Over
The film Super Over creates a decent buzz among the subscribers of Aha. The film was directed by Praveen Varma and was produced by his mentor, Sudheer Varma. The film deals with three childhood friends getting into cricket betting and the troubles they face thereafter. The actors Naveen Chandra, Chandini Chowdary and Rakendu Mouli are perfectly fit into their roles and their presences on screen as close friends seems so natural. The screenplay is so gripping with all the plot turns and twists. The main story of the film is all narrated in a single night and the director needs to be credited for this. The story lacks other elements running on a single storyline till the end and few questions are left answered. Keeping the flaws aside, this crime thriller is a decent film to watch on the web platform.
