Cinema has evolved over the time. From silent movies to talkies, one thing remains unchanged. Every movie has a soul and filmmaking is an art. Indian cinema started with dramatic movies and has diversified into many genres. Indian film industry churns out many movies each year. While some of the movies are star studded, some are novel attempts at filmmaking and bring something new to the table.
One such movie is Cinema Bandi. Produced by the filmmaker duo Raj and DK, Cinema Bandi is an authentic story of common people. The trailer of this independent movie was released today. Telugu cinema has always depicted heroes and heroines, however Cinema Bandi beautifully showcases the lives of a bunch of villagers who stumble upon an expensive camera. The villagers, inspired by Tollywood, decide to make their own movie with the camera, featuring their fellow villagers. How these village simpletons dream of such big things and make them work is the highlight of Cinema Bandi.

Cinema Bandi is set in the backdrop of a village in the borders of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka states. The actors sported such a convincing accent of the people from that area. Cinema Bandi is directed by Praveen Kandregula. This independent film will be seeing an OTT release on the platform Netflix from 14th May onwards.
