In 2019, on Allu Arjun’s birthday, Dil Raju’s production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations, announced ICON movie with him. To be directed by Venu Sriram of Vakeel Saab fame, the film was expected to go on floors after Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. However, due to unknown reasons, the project was put on hold and now Allu Arjun is working with director Sukumar on Pushpa.
Every once in a while, news comes about ICON and becomes the biggest buzz in the tinsel town. Now, the film is back again in the news as director Venu Sriram spoke about it during an interview. Venu Sriram who is presently helming Vakeel Saab with Pawan Kalyan has confirmed that his much-anticipated project with Allu Arjun is still on cards. He also added that once they are done with their present commitments, the duo will decide on the status of the film.
The latest revelation by Sriram has led to speculations that ICON will be the 22nd film of the Stylish Star. However, fans would have to wait a few more months for the film to be officially announced.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is currently working on a rustic action drama titled Pushpa, which revolves around smuggling for his next. The film is directed by Sukumar and Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady of the film. After completing shooting for Pushpa, Allu Arjun will next work with director Koratala Siva for a big-budget film. The yet to be titled film recently released its pre look and is tentatively referred to as #AA21.
