Suriya is one of the biggest stars of Kollywood who has a fan base all across India. Suriya is known for his dedication towards the roles he picks up to act in movies. He has given us some unforgettable performances over the years like Surya S/o Krishnan,Ghajini, Singham and 24. The actor was recently in the news when it was reported that he sustained some minor injuries while working out.
Fans were concerned about his health when news about the injury became public but a source close to the actor spoke to a popular digital media outlet and said that although the actor sustained the injuries while working out, Suriya has recovered from the injuries and is completely fine now. Suriya is currently residing at his Chennai residence.

Recently Suriya and his wife Jyothika were caught in the middle of a social media outrage when Jyothika’s comments about hospitals needing to get the same respect as people give to temples. The comment sat negatively with some people and they resorted to vicious trolling on social media. However Suriya came to Jyothika’s defence and said that “My family fully stands with her opinion in the speech, which is inspired by the teachings of spiritual leaders. We wish to teach our children that humanity is more important than religion (sic.)”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Suriya will be seen in his upcoming movie Soorarai Pottru. The flick is based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, the founder of the budget airline Air Deccan. Besides Suriya, the movie also stars Paresh Rawal, Aparna Balamurali and Mohan Babu in pivotal roles. The movie is bankrolled by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.
