Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai’s film Badri directed by Puri Jagannadh released today in 2000 and marks 20 years today. With this film, Renu Desai made her debut as an actress in the film industry and is super emotional about her journey as she recollects the memories with Pawan Kalyan on the sets of the film. Few social media netizens trolled her for her sharing pictures with Pawan Kalyan.
Renu Desai took to her Instagram to share throwback pictures as she recollects the memories with Pawan Kalyan from the sets of the film, Badri. She wrote, “Because of the remote location we were shooting in, we didn’t have chairs to sit in between shots. Also, because of the short skirt I was wearing I couldn’t sit on the rocks, so I was joking with Kalyan garu that it’s bad manners to sit while a girl is standing beside you… This was also the windiest location to shoot in. I was barely able to stand or dance because of the crazy wind.”
With each picture, the actress shared a story behind it. The other two pictures, she shared and wrote, “This was shot after Kalyan garu shot his part for the Chikita song and I was shooting for the sad song Varamamte. We were super tired because of walking and it was super sunny too. Both of us were lost in our own worlds, tired and hungry.”

After the actress posted these pics, some fans didn’t take it well and trolled her. A fan in the comments said that, “Why all these over action now by posting pics as you are engaged to another man now.” To which she replied that, “It’s been 20 years since Badri, it’s my first film so obviously it is special to me. Why so much hate? We are already facing a world crisis by fighting a deadly virus.” She further added saying positively that “let’s think positive, why so much anger, it’s not good for health.”
This film brought Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai together, post his divorce with his first wife Nandini. Powerstar married Renu on 28th January 2009 but unfortunately ended their marriage and parted ways in 2012. However, now Powerstar is married to model Anna Lezhneva and Renu Desai is engaged to a new partner.
