Legendary Tamil director Bharathiraja made some controversial remarks on actor Vishal regarding the Tamil Nadu Nadigar Sangam elections, in which Vishal is contesting again for the pivotal role of a secretary.
Bharathiraja made controversial remarks on Vishal’s very candidature. He questioned what moral right does Vishal had to contest the election again, as he was not a Tamil but a Telugu. Bharathiraja added all should come united on June 26th to vote against Vishal and make the other contestant Bhagyaraj, as he was Tamil.
Many fans and the general public were shocked to hear these xenophobic remarks from Bharathiraja.
For the fact, Bhagyaraj is a Telugu by birth, a Naidu settled in Coimbatore, who was brought up in Tamil Nadu and attained fame as a scriptwriter and director of repute in his later years.
