Story:
Hippi Devadas (Karthikeya) is a happy go lucky youngster who flirts with girls and enjoys life to the hilt. He loses his cool when he falls for a girl Amukthamalyada (Digangana) who does not want casual relationsip but, a committed live-in relationship with him. Suddenly, Hippi is faced with realities of life, love, relationship and its serious effects. How did he solve set his relationship goals forms the rest of the story.
Review:
The main victory of Hippi lies in its tight screenplay, correct placement of songs and the directorial abilities of T.N. Krishna come to the fore in every frame youb watch. The scenes were Hippi interacts with girls and woos them provide lighter comedy and the discussion he has with his ‘love guru’, J.D. Chakravarthy is a mix of both drama and wit. Karthikeya has given a great makeover to his perfromances, with his dialogue delivery and action sequences.
Digangana Suryavanshi is a find in Hippi. She has the correct body language and emotions for her role as a committed partner in a live-in relationshi who loves her Hippi truly and wants him to realise the true love of being in a relationship.
Songs by Nivas K. Prasanna will be remembered for long, in youth soirees and social media platforms.
Overall, Hippi is a sugar coasted medicine for youth who are getting into a serious relationship with their loved ones. Give it a watch!
