Vijay Antony has created a separate fan base for his films in the Telugu states. It is more his choices of scripts like Dr. Salim (2014) and Bichagadu (2015) which made him a sought after actor in the Telugu film industry. Vijay Antony is also one of the few actors who attained popularity in Telugu through dubbed movies.
Roshagadu, Vijay Anthony’s dubbed version of the Tamil movie Thimiru Pudichavan (2018,) showed Vijay in a vigilante police avatar. He took on the citizens’ issues by their throat and educated people to be responsible rather than preaching high truths about changing the system.
