Last week, Pooja Hegde was in talks to be a part of the Varun Tej starrer, Valmiki. There were reports, director Harish Shankar roped in the actress after watching the success of Maharshi and Pooja’s glamour quotient in it.
Valmiki is an official remake of the cult Tamil hit Jigarthanda (2014) and stars Tamil actor Atharvaa Murali in a negative role. Reports say, Pooja Hegde quoted a huge sum for Valmiki.
When the producers backed out, Pooja Hegde walked out of the project. Harish Shankar is now on the hunt for a new female lead. Valmiki is produced by 14 Reels Plus and is slated to release later in 2019.
