Digangana Suryavanshi, who will make her Telugu debut with the Karthikeya movie Hippi, won the Dadasaheb Phalke Flim Foundation Award for the Most Historic Debut Actress. She was given this award for her Hindi movies Jalebi and FryDay, which released in 2018.
Digangana is already a celebrity of good standing in the Hindi soap operas. She has garnered much fame through her Serials before she made her debut in movies with Jalebi(2018).
Digangana was adjudged as the Best Beti at the Star Parivaar Awards in 2014 for her memorable drama, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera, apart from other awards for her role as Veera Sampooran Singh in the eponymous TV serial on Star Plus.
The Mumbai based Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation, which honors every category of showbiz like television and cinema, just announced the Most Historic Debut Actress for Digangana Suryavanshi and the citation read she was being awarded for her “immense talent and contribution to Hindi Cinema (sic.)”
Digangana shared her happiness and excitement about winning the coveted award on her Instagram handle.
