Ayogya, actor Vishal’s ambitious project, finally released on May 11th to a hugely positive response from the fans and others alike. The spat between Vishal and the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) notwithstanding, the movie was given a green signal on May 10th, with the TFPC giving the final nod.
An official remake of the 2015 Junior NTR drama Temper, directed by Puri Jagannath, the Tamil version is directed by Venkat Mohan with Sam C.S providing the music.
Vishal was seemingly elated and said this movie was his child and he wanted the theme of abusive rape to be noticed by everyone in the state of Tamil Nadu.
He stated on Twitter, “They (TFPC) wanted to bring me down on my knees. I will not do that. The harder they try, the more triumphant I emerge. I have God, the truth and my well-wishers on my side.(sic.) “
Ayogya opened to fantastic reviews and cinephiles are raving about the movie and the performance of Vishal. Vishal might feel vindicated about this fact.
Poetic justice, isn’t it?
