Actor Sharwanand has been making strides to become a versatie actor.He has always been choosy about the roles he donned throughout his fifteen year old flm career which started with a small role of his in 5va Tareeku, way back in 2003.He then appeared in ensemble cast in romantic genre films like Vennela in 2005 and serious family dramas like Amma Cheppindi in 2006.Here again he got to a stardom of sorts with the director’s krish’s debut movie Gamyam, which was again another genre itself, being a road drama,a genre which was new to Telugu cinema.The film released to a warm reception in 2008.
Sharwanand got his due as a consistent performer with the movie Prasthanam, directed by Deva Katta in 2010, under the banner of VRC Media and Entertainment, produced by Ravi Vallabhaneni.The political drama is consideed to be a cult classic in Telugu cinema,with its inoovative plot and stellar performances by its cast including Saharwanand himself as the wronged son of a politician, Saikumar and Sundeep Kishan.Gamyam opened new horizons to Sharwannad to explore other languages,with his Tamil debut Kadhalna Summa Illa in 2009 directed by Ilankannan.
Again he swithched genres with his film Run Raja Run,directed by now famous director Sujeeth, which was a Romantic Comedy thriller.Then the Veteren Tamil director, Cheran booked him for his poignant drama in Tamil, JK Ennum Nanbanin Vazhkai in 2015, which was a critically acclaimed movie that year.Before that movie,Sharwanand was seen in the Tamil Romantic drama road movie,Engeyum Eppodum in 2011, which was a great boost for him in increasing his popularity in the Tamil industry as the ‘guy-next-door’.
His choices of films were unusual in him opting for an action-thriller, Express Raja in 2016,which again was under the genre of an action thriller.His next significant venture was Shatamanam Bhavathi,the tear-jerker of 2017, written and diected by Satish Vegesna,which won the Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment at the 64th National Awards ceremony, n 2018.The film was produced by Dil Raju.Sharwanand again proved his versatality with his romantic comedy, Mahanubhavudu directed by Maruthi Dasari, in 2017.The film was a sleeper hit in which he co-starred with Mehreen Peerzada.
The quirky saga of Sharwanand continues with his new movie choices,which included a romantic movie, Padi Padi Leche Manasu,in 2018 and his choice of a landmark remake of the Tamil movie, 96,which was a roamtic drama studded by outstanding perfromances of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan.The remake is soon to be wrapped-up and is awaiting an August 2019 release.Samantha Akkineni is playing the lead with him on the workfront.News has it that he just grabbed an untitled Tamil film,which he will be shooting after the shooting of 96 is wrapped up.Sharwananad just completed his action flick under the direction of Sudheer Varma.
