Rajinikanth, the actor who is worshipped all over the globe as Thalaivar, is now working on his upcoming project, Darbar. Thalaivar, who previously worked on Petta, is all set for Darbar, which is currently one of the most awaited movies of this season.
The excitement of the audience is quite understandable as Rajinikanth will play the role of a cop after a pretty long time. When the audience got wind of this news, the curiosity and anticipation levels grew a notch higher. Now, if Rajinikanth is playing the cop, there should be a strong opponent and antagonist as well. Well, A.R. Murugadoss, the director of Darbar, picked just the person for the job. Prateik Babbar, who played the role of the antagonist in Baaghi 2, is playing the role of the antagonist in Darbar as well.
Prateik Babbar, who is totally in awe of Rajinikanth, stated, “I am super glad and honoured to work with Rajinikanth sir. It has been my aspiration to share the screen with him and now I can tick it off my bucket list. I loved watching his performance as Alex Pandian in the 1962 classic, Moondru Mugan.”
Darbar, which will also feature Nayanthara, the Lady Superstar of the South Indian cinema, is currently under work in Mumbai. Prateik, who is super excited for this project, is currently working on the Nagarjuna, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer, Brahmastra. Darbar will hit theatres in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
With such young and talented cast a part of Darbar, the movie is sure to win the hearts of the audience and meet their expectations.
