Actor Nani, who managed to gather a decent fan following owing to his boy next door looks, is a huge fan of Mani Ratnam. The actor mentioned many a times that he is keen on working with the legendary director in at least one project to fulfill his childhood dream. A couple of months back, Nani got a chance to work with Mani Ratnam in a movie which featured Dulquer Salmaan as well. However, due to some unknown reasons this project was shelved.
Now, news on the grapevine is, Nani was approached for another crucial role in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming historical drama, Ponniyin Selvan. This movie, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s book of the same name, will feature Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Jayam Ravi and many others in key roles.
However, there has been no official confirmation on this front. Ponniyin Selvan is a massive project undertaken by Mani Ratnam. We can’t wait to watch Nani feature in a Mani Ratnam movie.
It definitely would be a dream come true moment for Nani!
